MENGHITUNG DAN MEMISAHKAN BATUAN VULKANIK DARI DATA GEOLISTRIK DALAM 2-D DAN 3-D

Untuk menghitung dan memisahkan batuan vulkanik dari data geolistrik, ada beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan, di antaranya:

  1. Metode Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT): Ini adalah metode survei geofisika yang memanfaatkan prinsip resistivitas elektrik untuk membuat profil subsurface. Data resistivitas dapat digunakan untuk menentukan komposisi batuan vulkanik dari data geolistrik.
  2. Metode Induced Polarization (IP): Ini adalah metode survei geofisika yang memanfaatkan prinsip polarisasi yang diterapkan pada bahan geologi untuk menentukan mineral-mineral yang ada. Data IP dapat digunakan untuk memisahkan batuan vulkanik dari data geolistrik.
  3. Metode Magnetotelluric (MT): Ini adalah metode survei geofisika yang memanfaatkan variasi medan magnet dan medan elektromagnetik untuk menentukan konduktivitas subsurface. Data MT dapat digunakan untuk memisahkan batuan vulkanik dari data geolistrik.

Ketiga metode ini memerlukan pemahaman yang baik tentang geologi dan fisika subsurface untuk menentukan interpretasi yang tepat dari data geolistrik. Oleh karena itu, biasanya dilakukan dengan kerja sama antara ahli geologi dan ahli geofisika.

Identifikasi Rembesan Air Laut atau Abrasi di Area Dekat Laut dengan Metode Geolistrik

Dalam metode geolistrik, nilai resistivitas batuan yang mengandung air atau porositasnya tinggi akan terlihat jelas dibandingkan dengan batuan yang relatif kompak. porositas suatu batuan akan terisi oleh fluida yang mengisi kekosongan tersebut baik air atau cairan lain yang ada di bawah permukaan. Area dekat laut akan memungkinkan batuan yang berporotas tinggi ini akan menyerap air yang dari air laut dan mengendap di dalamnya dan karakternya akan berbeda dengan air yang bukan air laut (air tawar).

Dalam kaitanya dengan bangunan, air laut akan mengakibatkan korosi atau menjadikan bangunan tidak tahan lama sehingga perlu dilakukan penanganan khusus untuk menghambat korosinya. Identifikasi air laut atau abrasi dengan metode geolistrik akan memperlihatkan nilai resistivitas yang cukup kecil yang biasanya di bawah 10 ohm.m atau bahkan sampai nol koma ohm.m.

Warna biru merupakan kandungan air laut yang terdapat di bawah permukaan dengan karakter yang khas yaitu ada jalur dari permukaan dan di salurkan ke tempat lain dan di endapkan di bawah permukaan.

Investigasi Sumber Mata Air dengan Metode Geolistrik GeoResist

metode geolistrik membantu menginvestigasi adanya sumber mata air, air permukaan ataupun akuifer yang ketiganya mempunyai ciri khas baik dalam karakter strukturnya atau lokasi keberadaanya.

Alat yang digunakan menggunakan alat single channel dengan dibuatkan switchbox sehingga bisa dilakukan pengukuran 2-D. Injeksi arus listriknya dilakukan secara manual tetapi akurasinya tidak jauh berbeda jika alatnya rutin di kalibrasi dengan alat-alat yang lebih bagus sensitifitasnya. Sebelum dilakukan pengukuran dilakukan terlebih dahulu survey tinjau untuk melihat struktur, pola sedimentasi dan topografinya sehingga kita bisa mengklasifikasi model air apa yang terkandung di bawah permukaan.
